Hi, my name is Kara. I'm kind of a nerd. But I like to think that that's a good thing. Anywho, welcome to my thoughts.

Last 2 Episodes of Numb3rs of the Season...

... and possibly ever.

Now, if Numb3rs does get cancelled after this season, I will be sad. A little angry. Lost as to what to do with my friday nights for the rest of my life (I have been faithfully watching the show since halfway through eighth grade, after all). But I won't be too surprised. In fact, there's a part of me thinks that now is the right time to end the show- or possible a year or two ago was. I think the show peaked in quality around season 3 or maybe 4. Last couple season... well don't get me wrong, I still love the show, but I think they're running out of ideas. They've been using less and less math, or reusing ideas from the first few seasons. So I guess what I'm saying is that while it will be sad if they don't have a season 7, that's probably better than keeping going until they're absolutely out of ideas.

So, that said, it's now less than 6 hours until the penultimate episode of season 6 of Numb3rs airs on the west coast. I actually just saw the preview for it today:

So. Preview for the 2nd to last episode. And I'm pretty sure what they're doing here.

So the big story development for the end of the season is Charlie and Amita moving to England. Good for them. Well, do you remember way back at the end of season 2 when Amita announced that she had been offered a job at Harvard? And then we wondered if she was staying or going all summer but ultimately she stayed. My theory is that they are doing a similar thing here. In this case, however, nobody knows if there will be more show, so they're going with a plot that can go either way. Charlie gets offered this great job at Cambridge, is all happy, Amita thinks it's great and is excited to move to England. Now, this can go one of two ways.

The first is if the show ends. Charmita move to England. They live there happily raising their three beautiful children and teaching math and doing whatever Charmita does. This makes a logical place to end the show, because Charlie is now thousands of miles away and is therefore no longer doing Don's job for him.

The second option is what will probably happen if the show gets renewed. Charmita moves to England. They're happy for a while, probably a few months- that is, over the summer. Then, Charlie starts to miss LA. Or he doesn't want to be so far from his family. Or he starts to miss solving crime. Or, most likely, some combination thereof. So they move back to LA after a few episodes and business returns to normal.

So, Numb3rs, I think I have you figured out. I really do hope that we get another season, but either way, I'm looking forward to what they have to offer for these possible last two episodes.
